Cozy Cottages on Lake Tahoe's West Shore

About the cottages

We sold the main lodge and smaller cottages in December of 2022 to Homewood who is using them to house their management team.  We are still accepting bookings for our Sugar Pine Cottage, our favorite.

Tahoma Meadows has a mixed history.  Half the buildings are original to the site and the rest were moved here from the original Homewood Lodge just prior to the 1960 Olympics at Squaw Valley.   The cottages were used as worker and press housing for the cross country ski events that were held just down the block in Sugar Pine Pt State Park.

About your hosts

Ulli and Dick both have extensive backgrounds in hotel and resort management. Dick worked at his family's summer resort for most of his life as well as having worked at or managed other resorts and recreation businesses, as well as having a formal degrees in Math and Computer Science.     Ulli is a graduate of the Steigenberger Hotel School near Munich Germany and has worked for Intercontinental and Kempinski Hotels in Germany. We hope that our backgrounds will help us serve you well. Our goal is to make you feel right at home.

We have lived in the area full time since 1995, but we feel that you shouldn't have to be a local to know about all the hidden gems that Lake Tahoe has to offer. All of us are avid outdoors people so we can point you in the right direction for just about any activity. We encourage our guests to not be shy about asking questions. No question is too silly, it's only silly not to ask.

We hope you include a stay at our bed and breakfast as a part of your Tahoe experience. We are looking forward to meeting you.
