Directions from Everywhere:
Be aware that road and weather conditions can change rapidly. Be sure to carry tire chains during Fall, Winter and Spring. Please plan for winter driving from November to April or even May depending on the weather conditions.
During the Winter Highway 89 is frequently closed between Tahoma and South Lake Tahoe at Emerald Bay for avalanche control.

Most Direct All Season directions:
Via Highway 80 (Bay Area & Reno Year Round): Once you have reached the town of Truckee (exit 185) turn south onto highway 89 toward Tahoe City. Turn right at the signal in Tahoe City and continue south on hwy 89. We are approximately 8 miles south of Tahoe City. You will see our main building on your right. It looks like a big red and white barn. Pull in and you will find our cabins located in the back of the property.
Via Highway 395 (Southern California/Vegas Year Round): Take highway 395 north to Reno. Turn west on Hwy 80 to Truckee. Then follow the directions above.
Alternative & Scenic Directions - Please note that some of these routes may have winter closures.
Via Highway 50 (Bay Area & Carson City ): Take highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe. When you reach the “Y” continue north on highway 89 toward Emerald Bay and Tahoe City. We are approximately 9 miles north of Emerald Bay. You will see our main building on your left. It looks like a big red and white barn. Pull in and you will find our cabins located in the back of the property.
Via Highway 395 (Southern California/Vegas Summer Only): Take highway 395 north toward Reno. Cut towards South Lake Tahoe via routes 89, 207 or 50. When you reach the “Y” (the intersection of 89 & 50) continue north on highway 89 toward Emerald Bay and Tahoe City. We are approximately 9 miles north of Emerald Bay. You will see our main building on your left. It looks like a big red and white barn. Pull in and you will find our cabins located in the back of the property.
Bay Area Alternate route Hwy 580-Hwy 88-Hwy 89 (Summer only): This is one of the most scenic and best ways to avoid Friday traffic in the East Bay and Sacramento areas. Take Hwy 580 East , Hwy 205 and then Hwy 5 North to Stockton. Go East on Hwy 4 and then North on Hwy 99. The junction of Hwy 99 and Hwy 88 is about 2 miles North of Hwy 4. Take Hwy 88 East to Jackson and over Carson Pass. Once over Carson Pass continue to the junction with Hwy 89 north. Go North on Hwy 89 to South Lake Tahoe. Turn right on Hwy 50 for approx. 5 miles. At the "Y" continue north on Hwy 89 around Emerald Bay and approximately 9 miles on to Tahoma.
The following mountain roads and passes are usually closed from November - May or June: Hwy 89 over Monitor Pass, Hwy 4 Ebbet's Pass, Hwy 108 Sonora Pass, Hwy 120 Tioga Pass through Yosemite National Park and Hwy 89 at Mt Lassen National Park.

Of course there are other routes to get here. Just look at a good map and explore a little bit. Remember that some of our local roads are closed during the winter so check for road closures at 800-427-ROAD
